Students are required to either be or become members of the West Central FFA Chapter.<\/p>\n<p>This course is fluid and ever evolving. Much depends on hot topics in agriculture at the time.\u00a0 The course requires a student to be highly self motivated and will assist students in learning to prioritize tasks, break large projects into smaller chunks, and develop educated opinions about the industry of agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>This course will require students to write!<\/p>\n<p>Topics of study may include:<br \/>\nThe FFA<br \/>\nSAE and SAE based awards<br \/>\nCDE and LDE preparation<br \/>\nAgriScience Fair Research and Competition<br \/>\nMyth Busting in Agriculture<br \/>\nAdvertisement Critique<br \/>\nAdvocating for Agriculture<br \/>\nConsumer Behavior, creating a better educated consumer<br \/>\nCommunity service<br \/>\nEntrepreneurship<br \/>\nBiotechnology in Agriculture<br \/>\nLegislation on the state and federal level that impacts agriculture<\/p>\n<p>Modifications are at the discretion of the instructor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 are eligible for enrollment.\u00a0 The course may be taken for credit up to three times during a student&#8217;s high school tenure.
