Greetings from the 83rd National FFA Convention!

Today is Wednesday and our schedule in Indy is a busy one.  The Horse Team, Joe, Anthony and Mrs. Petersen headed out at 6:15 this morning for competition.  Joe will speak in preliminary rounds beginning at 10.  There is also a prelim round at 8.  The top 8 speakers from each of the 8 and 10 O’Clock rounds will advance to the semi finals which will begin at 1:00 p.m. We will keep you posted on how things go for the golden tongued one!

Mr. Nettifee and the remainder of the chapter headed downtown this morning and we will all be listening to Joe Schartz in his preliminary round of the Extemporaneous Speaking CDE.

Liz Renner will be setting up her AgriScience Fair display at Lucas Oil Stadium and will compete on Thursday.

Leonard Meyer, graduate of Humboldt High School and current resident of Indiana made the trip into downtown Indy to meet the chapter and listen to Joe as well.  Leonard was also in attendance in April when Joe competed in the American Legion Oratory Competition here in Indianapolis.

We will be posting pictures and more information as the convention progresses, here are a couple from our brief stop in Milwaukee Tuesday morning.
